Styling your self!

I've done a bit of stitching - did this on Saturday night & Sunday a.m. & gave it to my dad with his other gifts for Father's Day... I think it's pretty cute.  It's Pine Mtn's "My Dad" in case anyone is interested.  I added the JABC Buttons to it.  I'm also still stitching on the Prairie Schooler for the friendship RR I'm doing with Nicole, Karen & Faye.  HOPE to finish it this week, wish me luck! I stopped at my parent's this afternoon on the way home from the pool for more veggies from the garden & look what my mom bought for me this a.m.!  Isn't it pretty?  I've always wanted a "crystal basket", but never bought one.  This one is large & heavy too - so pretty! A package came in the mail from Karen the other day, and look what was in it..... lovely cards that she made for me - look at the detail - the stamp on the envelope flap and she even stamps and hand signs the back of each one.  I think Karen is very talented and very sweet!  And since we're talking about sweet - look at what she sent my niece, Hannah.... After Karen, I think Hannah & her daddy (my bil) are the biggest Clemson fans I know, just like Karen &  her DH.  She made this for Hannah - isn't it CUTE?  Actually, I like it and tried to get Hannah to leave it with me & just visit it often,  but she said a firm "no" with a big smile on her face.  :-)  Thanks again Karen, we both really appreciate your kindness!! Just wanted to invite anyone who's interested to a Stitch-In in SC on August 7th.  It will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at a small cafe located just 2 miles off  I-95.  The cost is $10 per person, which includes lunch & beverages.  Bring your stitching & join us.  We had 20 in March & had a great time! First let me show you my LHN's Simple Joys that I finished Friday night.  I know I mentioned before that I changed the top portion just a bit, I didn't care for the gold box around the words, so I moved it all up a row or two and left the box off.  I also didn't put the "lines" on the windows.  I am quite happy with it & happy to have finished it.  It shouldn't have taken 2 weeks, but I was busy with other things too.  It's stitched on Lakeside 32 ct Vintage Buttercream using the recommened CC/WDW threads.   On Saturday, Nicole , Karen & Faye came & we spent the day stitching & chatting & having a good time.  (And yes gals, I did end up starting our new project last night, couldn't help it.)  It's all thanks to Faye for helping me pull the threads for it!  Gotta blame it on someone, right?  ;-) lol  I'd almost be willing to bet someone else started or was at least VERY tempted to start one too huh...
